What has happened to the normal people?
Or have they all just slipped away?
They always say, we're all made equal
But we each have a different part to play
Why do we worry about fashion
Aren't there more important things in life
What baffles me is the deception
That celebrities have got it right
We're normal people with normal problems
We're flightless angels with different burdens
We're scriptless actors in an unfinished scene
We're broken hearted with broken dreams
Why is everyone so unhappy
We have quite a few things to be thankful for
Why can't we be a bit more friendly
Instead of slamming closed the door
Why don't we walk the extra mile?
If it's to help somebody who has bled
There's nothing quite like a smile
To warm a cold heart in the night ahead
We're lonely people in lonely compartments
We're all just renters of empty apartments
We pour out love, love gone to waste
Why have we come to this forsaken place
You justify that they're not worth it
This help you could easily provide
It's true they might go and waste it
But that's not up to us to decide
We cannot solve all the problems
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try
Don't turn your back on the people calling
Cause now it's time to go and save a life
There're homeless people with hopeless afflictions
Lost potential with dirty addictions
They're sunken faces of a wasted soul
They lost all hope in this freezing cold
There's hungry people in hungry nations
Sleepless soldiers of ongoing occupations
Endless bombings in an endless war
Help the needy! Help the poor!
Oh help come to heal
The choice is now left to the Normal People
One simple life can change it all
We're normal people with normal problems
We're flightless angels with different burdens
We're scriptless actors in an unfinished scene
We're broken hearted with broken dreams
