I never knew my spectrum
Turns out I feel pink
I always thought I was colourless
As dark as ink
If you look at my roots
That may be the case
But my branches are blooming
And I've turned about face
Oh, and I'm riding the wave
Even though I don't know how to breathe underwater
But I've slashed a few gills in my neck
And I'm not going under
'Cause you'll dig up the gold in me
When all you usually see
Is black
Yes, I have gold inside
It's been so easy to hide
But now, there's a crack
And it's never going back
It's alive...
