Petals pour from themselves in a synchronized swim. They'd been held to the stem as though holding their breath. Collectively they agree to exhale and be free.
There is starlight burning in our hearts tonight. Hear the moonlight speak your name. We're a long way hidden form the cold tonight. I see the dawn star falling where you are.
Know what the sun feels like on my skin. I wanna know what the moon feels like within. I know what the sun feels like on my skin. I wanna know how the moon gives life within.
Gonna lay my cruelty down. Getting tired of the sound. All the ways I use to hurt myself. All is sky and all is sea. Our days are spaces. Between dreams.
If I were a wave. You'd have caught me. If you were my light. I would fade. If you were the sea. You'd not turn your back on me. I'd shake the fury. Right out off of me.
There is that I can only hear by the moon. I lay still enough to hear the trees grow. I listen for the creak of their thoughts. And I hear your corduroy legs running up the stairs.
I hear you. 'Bout a million miles from here. I'm with you. But I don't know if it's clear. I don't look down. What I see is what I get. So I close my eyes.
